Manny Pacquiao, the Filipino politician and former boxing champion, wants to extend his gratitude to the Shiba Inu (SHIB) community. In a recent video, the boxing legend expressed his appreciation for the charitable contributions made by the SHIB Army to his philanthropic Manny Pacquiao Foundation. He thanked the SHIB community for their commitment to helping those in need and their continued support of the foundation. Pacquiao also mentioned his excitement for Shibarium.
Shibarium is a scaling solution for SHIB that was initially released as a beta bridge for public use in July 2023. It incorporates plasma and proof-of-stake (PoS) technology, allowing investors to transfer tokens between Shibarium and the leading smart contract platform Ethereum (ETH). The team behind Shibarium recently announced the completion of its hard fork.
Last year, Pacquiao announced that his foundation would accept donations in SHIB and integrate Shibarium into its operations. The foundation focuses on providing assistance to families and communities in need worldwide through various initiatives, such as housing projects, anti-human trafficking efforts, and COVID-19 relief programs.
According to the foundation’s website, Shiba Inu is one of the cryptocurrencies accepted for donations, alongside Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum, and SHIB’s rival, Dogecoin (DOGE).
At the time of writing, SHIB is valued at $0.0000266, experiencing a 9% increase in the past week.
