Raoul Pal Predicts that Two Digital Asset Subsectors Will Reach ‘Dumb’ Valuations as Crypto Summer Nears

Raoul Pal, a former executive at Goldman Sachs, predicts that two specific sectors in the digital asset space could experience extreme valuations during the upcoming “crypto summer” phase. According to Pal, altcoin projects centered around artificial intelligence (AI) and tokenized real-world assets (RWA) may see exponential growth during this period.

“Crypto summer” typically refers to a time when prices and trading volume in the cryptocurrency market increase. Pal explains that during this phase, there tends to be a lot of hype and confusion, leading to overvalued assets, such as AI and RWA projects.

Pal also believes that Ethereum (ETH) has the potential to outperform Bitcoin (BTC) during this time, and Solana (SOL) could outperform both BTC and ETH.

“Crypto summer is usually the beginning of altcoin season, which reaches its peak in the fall. This is when ETH starts to outperform BTC, and SOL surpasses the performance of both BTC and ETH.”

While Pal maintains an optimistic outlook on the crypto market, he cautions that the journey to new all-time highs will not be a straight line. He expects to see a couple of significant corrections due to excessive leverage, referring to it as the “banana zone.”

Pal has previously mentioned that the crypto market is approaching the “banana zone,” a period characterized by parabolic rallies in Bitcoin and altcoins, leading to new price highs.
