Anthony Pompliano, the founder of venture capital firm Pomp Investments, believes that Bitcoin (BTC) will experience a surge in value thanks to the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) in the next ten years. In a recent interview on CNBC Television, Pompliano explained that the wealth generated by the AI sector could flow into Bitcoin as a preferred asset for storing value.
Pompliano highlighted the connection between Bitcoin and AI, stating that they are both part of the same trend. He emphasized that as we enter an automated world where AI generates significant wealth, Bitcoin will serve as a means to protect that wealth. He observed that people are investing in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency and then shifting their focus to AI, but this does not mean that Bitcoin’s value diminishes. Instead, as the AI sector continues to grow, more wealth will be generated, leading people to turn back to Bitcoin as a way to safeguard their assets.
Pompliano believes that both AI and Bitcoin will be long-term trends for the next decade, with significant tailwinds supporting their growth. He also pointed out that the United States could potentially experience an increase in GDP due to the productivity gains from AI, while Bitcoin offers protection for accumulated wealth. He cautioned against focusing solely on short-term fluctuations and instead urged people to recognize the immense potential of these trends over the next ten years.
Currently, Bitcoin is trading at $60,859, representing a decrease of over 5% in the past 24 hours.
