The CEO of Morgan Creek Capital, Mark Yusko, predicts that the digital asset industry will experience a massive influx of funds from the baby boomer generation. In an interview with crypto influencer Scott Melker, Yusko stated that he expects asset managers handling funds for boomers to invest $300 billion into the crypto space within the next year.
Yusko emphasized that this demand shift has only just begun and has yet to reach its full potential. He believes that, so far, only around 10% of the anticipated inflow of funds from registered investment advisors, who manage the boomers’ $30 trillion, has entered the market through exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Yusko finds it remarkable that $300 billion, which constitutes just 1% of the boomers’ total wealth, will flow into the digital asset space. He notes that this amount surpasses the total value of Bitcoin conversions over the past 15 years.
According to Yusko, if the $300 billion were added to Bitcoin’s market cap, which he estimates has a multiplier effect of 20x, it would result in a staggering $6 trillion increase.
Currently, Bitcoin is trading at $64,920, experiencing a 2.5% dip in the last 24 hours.
