Analyst Benjamin Cowen Forecasts Ethereum’s Upward Momentum Against Bitcoin

A renowned crypto analyst predicts that Ethereum (ETH) is poised for a surge against Bitcoin (BTC) in the coming year. In a recent video update, Benjamin Cowen, a crypto strategist with 848,000 YouTube subscribers, suggests that based on historical trends, Ethereum is likely to reach its bottom against Bitcoin, the top cryptocurrency by market cap.

Cowen believes that ETH/BTC will start rising in early 2025, regardless of how Bitcoin performs against the US dollar. He points out that historically, ETH/BTC tends to bottom out in either December or January. As it is already December 22nd, Cowen predicts that Ethereum will remain weak against Bitcoin for the rest of the year and possibly early January. However, he expects ETH/BTC to start moving up in 2025, regardless of the direction of BTC/USD.

Furthermore, Cowen highlights that previous market cycles indicate a favorable year for ETH/BTC in terms of quarterly returns in 2025. He mentions that 2022 Q1 and Q2 were red, while Q3 and Q4 were green. The only other quarter in the past three years that saw ETH/BTC in the green zone was Q2 2024. Looking back at 2021 and 2017, Cowen notes that ETH/BTC was green in both years, indicating the potential for more green in 2025 and possibly early 2026.

At the time of writing, ETH/BTC is valued at 0.03444 ($3,343.71).
