Yuga Labs, the creator of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, successfully acquires PROOF, a project centered on NFTs.

Yuga Labs, a prominent developer in the Web3 and non-fungible token (NFT) space, has recently acquired the NFT collective PROOF and its assets, as announced today. Yuga Labs, known for creating popular NFT collections like Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and TwelveFold, sees this acquisition as a step towards becoming the leading gateway to the web3 world.

PROOF’s NFT collections, including Moonbirds, Oddities, and Mythics, will now be integrated into Yuga’s Otherside platform. Otherside is a metaverse currently being developed by Yuga Labs, which aims to offer a gamified and interoperable experience for users.

Daniel Alegre, the CEO of Yuga Labs, expressed his excitement about PROOF joining their ecosystem. He stated, “As a company dedicated to promoting art, culture, and community on the blockchain, we are thrilled to welcome PROOF into the Yuga family. Moonbirds is a collection with immense potential and shares many common brand elements with Otherside. We are eager to see PROOF Collective play a significant role in our continuous efforts to engage with the art and community.”

Kevin Rose, the CEO and founder of PROOF, also shared his enthusiasm for the partnership. He said, “We are incredibly excited to bring Moonbirds to Otherside. It is the perfect home and future for our collectors. With the PROOF Collective now on board, it demonstrates Yuga’s commitment to digital fine art, and our combined resources will enable us to innovate at a faster pace and reach a wider audience. It will be an exciting journey ahead.”
