Real Vision’s chief analyst for cryptocurrencies, Jamie Coutts, predicts that Bitcoin (BTC) could experience a significant surge of over 155% in the current market cycle. During an interview on Raoul Pal’s The Journey Man YouTube channel, Coutts explains that as the global money supply increases, Bitcoin could reach a six-figure price. He states, “If we consider the global M2 (money supply) and extrapolate it to August, which is when the Bitcoin cycle peaked, it suggests a price of approximately $100,000 for Bitcoin. I consider this to be a potential outcome, but with a very low probability. My projected forecast is $170,000.”
Coutts goes on to suggest that there are even more optimistic scenarios where Bitcoin could surge to $234,000 or higher. He emphasizes the importance of assigning probabilities to each potential outcome in order to create a grounded, probability-weighted projection. Coutts also dismisses the idea of Bitcoin skyrocketing to $500,000 in this market cycle, but believes it is possible in the future.
Based on his analysis, Coutts predicts that Bitcoin has a 15% probability of reaching $100,000 by mid-August 2025. He gives it a 60% chance of hitting $170,335, a 20% chance of surging to $234,000, and a 5% chance of reaching $500,000 over the same period.
