Customers who pre-ordered the Ledger Stax wallet, a new hardware crypto wallet developed by the creator of Apple’s renowned iPod, can now expect its delivery, according to a recent blog post by the French startup company responsible for manufacturing the device. Pascal Gauthier, the CEO of Ledger, expressed his excitement about the commencement of shipping for the Ledger Stax, stating that the first batch of pre-orders will be dispatched in the following weeks, with new orders becoming globally available in the summer of 2024. Gauthier also hinted at revealing further details about the product at the Bitcoin Nashville 2024 event on July 26th. The announcement of the Ledger Stax wallet was made 18 months ago, and Gauthier emphasized its notable features. The device boasts the distinction of being the first secure touchscreen wallet, with its user interface powered by a secure element chip, a vital component for ensuring crypto security. Additionally, it is the first curved E-Ink display ever constructed, employing organic semiconductor materials on plastic substrates instead of conventional silicon materials on glass. Furthermore, the device’s screen is manufactured at a temperature below 100 degrees. Gauthier also highlighted the compatibility of the Ledger Stax with the Ledger Live companion app, making it the most user-friendly wallet for securing, owning, and managing digital assets. He emphasized the device’s versatility, as it is compatible with a wide range of apps that users can explore through the Discover section of the Ledger Live app. Ultimately, Gauthier believes that the Ledger Stax wallet is a significant advancement in making digital ownership accessible to everyone, not just those knowledgeable about technology.
